Iran, Cuba agree to set up shipping company
Tehran, Nov 5, IRNA

Iran-Cuba-Shipping
Iran and Cuba have reached an agreement to establish a joint shipping
company, said an Iranian minister on Sunday.

Minister of Commerce Masood Mirkazemi made the remark upon coming back
Sunday evening from a four-day visit to Cuba and taking part in a
Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) commercial meeting there.

The agreement will have a significant bearing on trade with Latin
American countries which has recently expanded.

He added that the shipping agreement is expected to help strengthen
commercial bonds with states of that part of the world including Cuba,
Venezuela and Bolivia.

Mirkazemi said Venezuela needs Iran made commodities in the fields of
construction materials and agriculture machinery, while Cuba is willing
to buy transport wagons from Iran.

The Iranian minister in Havana attended the second gathering of NAM
commerce ministers from 1 to 3 November.
